About us

Our Story

Hey there! Welcome to our page!

We’re Gavin and Nicolette of Coach Gavin Fitness!

How did it all start?

In 2011, we met at the gym at the college we both went to. Having a common interest in health and working out, the rest was history. We married in 2015 and have never looked back.

We both have a passion for helping others so naturally we teamed up to create our program. We couldn’t be more grateful to be where we are today. Many thanks to our family, friends, and clients who have supported us along the way!

Our Credentials

Coach Gavin

Gavin was always a very active person. Starting from a young age he was involved in numerous sports growing up but excelled the most in Track & Field and Cross Country. Naturally, Gavin majored in physical education, with a specialization in coaching and sports medicine, he joined a work-study program working as a fitness staff manager, where he found his true passion for training. He became a Certified Personal Trainer with certifications through AFAA and ACSM and started working with student athletes and instructing multiple fitness classes that were always packed. Gavin went on to work at numerous gyms as a trainer. He would go on to become the Athletic Director for a Parisi Speed School where he would achieve Franchise Director of the year. With over 15 years in the fitness industry, Gavin accumulated multiple certifications within a wide variety of training styles and has helped thousands of clients and athletes reach their fitness goals.

In 2015, Gavin became a Police Officer. While attending the academy, he achieved an award for Physical Training and Defensive Tactics. Although he enjoys being a Police Officer, his passion will always be in fitness. Despite his busy schedule, he developed an online training and education program so he could continue to help clients and athletes reach their fitness goals.

Nicolette’s first interest in nutrition started when she was a teenager. She had a very unhealthy relationship with food; going from not eating enough and exercising beyond her limits to binge eating from poor emotional health. It wasn’t long before she realized she had an unhealthy relationship with food. Quickly she found out HOW important nutrition was in her life and wanted to help others in the same situation.

Nicolette became a board certified Registered Dietitian and has been practicing since 2014.  She also has her Masters in Nutrition and is a Certified Lactation Counselor.

She started out working in local health centers and counseling within her community. She has loved fitness most of her life, and knew that it would be a part of her career one day, but wasn’t sure how.

When she met Gavin, she knew he would be the perfect partner in life, but in business, as well.

What is the Difference Between a
Registered Dietitian
& a Nutritionist?

Nutritionist

A nutritionist can be an individual who has knowledge of nutrition, maybe has some personal experience with weight loss, and/or has a certificate from an online program.

Provides education based on experience and applies this one point of view to everyone, rather than an individual approach.

Registered Dietitian (RD)

A Registered Dietitian has at least a Bachelors in Nutrition from a college accredited by the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics, has completed a dietetic internship (1200 hours long), and has passed the national Registered Dietitian exam.

A Registered Dietitian learns how to educate and apply medication nutrition therapy to clients. This is an individualized approach that promotes lifestyle changes and long lasting results.

Our Mission

Our goal is to help busy individuals achieve their DREAM physique through unique and effective workouts while learning how to eat for their specific goals.
